Best Breakfast Waffle Recipe Ever!

Best Breakfast Waffle Recipe Ever!

Happy Sunday Morning Everyone!

This is a recipe I initially found on the internet however its really amazing!   Its a little bit heavy on the calories which is why we usually only prepare it for a special occasion for example with a Brunch with friends or I want to surprise my favorite person with breakfast in bed. I have a normal size waffle machine so this recipe will probably produce 6-7 whole pieces consisting of 5 small individual ones.

Fo this recipe you need:

  • 160g of caster sugar
  • 150g of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pack of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g plain flour
  • 300 ml of milk (I used lactose free milk but I guess almond would work as well)
  • 1/2 pack of baking powder
  • 1 sip of Rum (yes alcohol 🙂 this is obviously the adult version however if you try this you will love it! You don’t taste the alcohol at all but it gives an amazing taste and additional kick believe me)

Whisk the three eggs together until they are mixed and then add this to sugar and softened butter. Mix it until its smooth – now add the vanilla sugar an a sip of Rum 🙂 Then gradually mix in the plain flour and the baking powder. It should have a thicker consistency now but thats ok just slowly add the milk now. So I used 300ml of milk but that might be a little bit too much just check the consistency it should’t be too liquid!

Preheat your waffle machine to a medium heat and add the dough. It should give at least 6 whole waffles. Now I like to add various fruit because I love the sweet and sour contrast – just be creative 🙂

I really hope you enjoyed this recipe! Tell me what you think 🙂
