Homemade Chocolate Granola

Hello Everyone

So today I am sharing a very delicious Homemade Chocolate Granola which is amazing. I love to prepare it so much – its easy – and super healthy! Also you know exactly what’s in it and you can basically transform it according to your personal taste which is great!

For my Homemade Chocolate Granola you need:

  • 1 Cups of Pecan Nuts
  • 1 Cups of Almonds
  • 1/2 Cup of Macadamia Nuts
  • 2 Cups of Oats
  • 1/2 Cup of Sunflower Seeds
  • 1/2 Cup of Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1/2 Cup of  Flax Seeds
  • 3 TS of Coconut Oil
  • 3-4 TS of Cocoa powder
  • 2 TS Brown Sugar
  • 3 TS Agave Syrup
  • 3 TS of Cinnamon
  • 1 TS of Chinese 5 Spice
  • 1 TS of Nutmeg
  • various Dried Fruit: Raisins, Apricots, Figs (are my favorite)

Granola

Preheat your oven to 180°. Mix the Nuts (and if you like the larger seeds) in a Food processor (I like it in larger pieces – so its still crunchy) and then add the oats and seeds into a large bowl. Now heat up a pan to a medium heat and let the coconut oil melt. Then add the cocoa powder, brown sugar and agave syrup as well as all the spices to the mixture. Stir for a while until everything is really smooth and mixed together. Now pour it over the nut-oat-seed mixture 🙂 Layer it into a large baking tray and put it into the oven for 30-40min. Stir every 10 minutes so nothing burns at the top. Take it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. At the same time cut your dried fruit into small pieces and finally add to your granola mixture.

I really hope you enjoy this recipe! It so easy to make – you know exactly whats in it  – and honestly this is so much more value for money than a bought one!

    I’m a big fan of store bought chocolate granola, so being able to put what I want into it and know it’s not junk is exactly what I’m looking for! I’m guessing it goes with milk beautifully?

      hey martin – yea milk works really well and all sorts of yoghurt as well. Love to serve it with fresh seasonal fruits too 🙂 xo

    I love making granola, the mix of chocolate and spices (Cardamom is in my favourite recipe) works so well!
