Lately, I have been obsessed with reading books and in particular, reading books for Female Entrepreneurs! It’s so powerful to read about people who were once in the same situation as you, hustling and trying to make your dream become a reality.
Now, making your dreams happen needs a lot of work so I have also been totally loving self-improvement, leadership and productivity topics. So, in this post, I wanted to share my favorites books for female entrepreneurs I have read in the past months!
1. The ONE Thing
If you are looking for a book which helps you achieve better results in less time then this is it, girl! The One Thing is my absolute favorite book I read in the past few months!
Do you know the feeling of constantly trying to do everything? For your biz, your family, your friends, your kids and basically everyone else!? In this book you get a recipe of how you find out what it truly is you want to achieve in life or business and then head deep into this one thing only by asking a simple question:
“What’s the one thing I can Do such that by doing it, everything else will be easier or unnecessary”!
I am a people pleaser myself and I find it so hard to put myself and my business first. However, this means I am constantly working for other people’s agendas and dreams. I am also super creative which means my brain is like a big nest of bumblebees all running around in different directions.
The ONE Thing Strategy has helped me understand how to build momentum towards MY goals, and overcome the feeling of overwhelm! The book gives you an easy step by step system to figure out what it is you want to achieve and then go for it! It’s one of the must-read books for female entrepreneurs!
2. Atomic Habits
Now habits can feel super a bit confining at the beginning, I totally get it. I am such a sucker for late night Netflix binge-watching with a bottle of wine and Pizza. And there is exactly NOTHING in my bone marrow which would encourage me to get out of bed in the morning if I don’t have to.
But, the problem is I am running a business and my bad habits can have a huge negative impact on my energy, my mood, my productivity and in the end to the goals I have set for business and my life. Now, in Atomic Habits, James Clear gives you simple step by step system of how to build new good habits and how you can get rid of bad ones.
It includes amazing real-life examples which are scientifically proven to help you understand why you keep doing things and why you are not able to stop with others. Honestly, since I read this book I have gained an understanding of why we do things and how I could re-engineer myself to become the best version of myself I can be.
And finally, since I read this book (me a total night owl) have been able to get up early in the morning, get my workout in, take my vitamins (honestly I never remembered this), better care for myself, and work on my bad habits (still a process here but I am starting to see a mindset change happen).

3. Girl Stop Apologizing
If you are following me on Instagram and you have listened to some of my stories you know I am a total sucker for self-help books. I mean Rachel and Dave Hollis’s Instagram morning show is an inspiring daily guilty pleasure of mine! I received her first Book “Girl Wash your Face” as a gift by one of my best friends and immediately pre-ordered her new book when I saw it was out.
Girl Stop Apologizing is simply one of my must-read books for female entrepreneurs and basically every single woman on the planet! The book is structured into three parts 1) Excuses to let go of 2) Behaviours to adopt and 3) Skills to acquire and it’s packed full of great advice, motivation and “real talk”. I honestly believe that there’s is so much subconscious sh** going on in us women whether this is self-inflicted or by society, Rachel Hollis really does not hold back on uncovering what these things are and how you can get over them!
If you are struggling with being afraid to fail or afraid of what other people might think of you, your dreams or your business idea, get Girl, Stop Apologizing and release all the negative self-talk which is holding you back!
4. Thinking, Fast and Slow
Now, I am actually still working on this one, because it’s a big one! The Author Daniel Kahneman has won the Nobel Prize for Economics and his book “Thinking, Fast and Slow” is all about how your brain is run by two different thinking systems.
System 1 operates automatically and quickly, with little or no effort and no sense of voluntary control and:
Eg. Drive a car on an empty road
System 2 allocates attention to the effortful mental activities that demand it, including complex computations
Eg. Count the occurrences of the letter “a” in a page text.
The aim of the book is to improve your quality of judgment and decision making which are both obviously crucial to running and building a successful business and life. If you love examples of how your mind plays games with you and you want to dig deeper into how your brain affects your behavior check it out!
5. You are a Badass at Making Money
I think it was Jen Sinceros first Book “You are a Badass” which got me hooked to the whole self-help industry because it’s honestly the perfect combination of actionable tips, fun curse words, and sweet personal life stories. It’s one of my must Books for female entrepreneurs!
Now “You are a Badass at Making Money” focusses more in the relationship we have with Money. I don’t know about you but I totally have this love-hate relationship with money and Jen Sincero describes exactly this situation in her book. How to uncover what’s holding you back from actually making some cash and to shape your reality and stop playing the victim of your circumstances
If you are running a business or blog but you are not making any money, girlfriend then this book is for you! You are a badass at making money is one of my must-read books for female entrepreneurs but also for side hustles, mompreneurs, girl bosses and just women who want to make some dang money already!
